Life Without Television is a social networking and information site for people who live without television or might like to try. It is based in the United Kingdom.¬†Given that television dominates our culture, you might think that everyone watches it. This is not so. The Broadcasters’ Audience Research Board in the UK (www.barb.co.uk) estimates that about 97% of households in the UK own a television. That leaves 900,000 households who do not. Even in the United States, the most TV-saturated country on the planet, 1% of households don’t own a television.
