Life Without Television is a social networking and information site for people who live without television or might like to try. It is based in the United Kingdom. Given that television dominates our culture, you might think that everyone watches it. This is not so. The Broadcasters’ Audience Research Board in the UK (www.barb.co.uk) estimates that about 97% of households in the UK own a television. That leaves 900,000 households who do not. Even in the United States, the most TV-saturated country on the planet, 1% of households don’t own a television.
